Five Day Isle of Skye Tour

Portree, Skye

Touring the splendours of skye

This Isle of Skye tour takes you on a journey of discovery through the breath-taking beauty of the Scottish Highlands and the spectacular Island of Skye.

On the way to Skye you will experience the beauty of Loch Lomond, the grandeur of Glencoe and the wilderness of Rannoch Moor as we make our way northward. See for yourself the famous ‘Harry Potter Bridge’ (Glenfinnan Viaduct) with an option to ride the famous Jacobite Steam Train or ‘Hogwarts Express’ as it is better known to some.

You’ll spend your first night on the mainland in the Great Glen. The next day you’ll be transported over the sea to the isle of Skye, courtesy of the Skye bridge, to explore all this magical Island has to offer. Believe us it is not named the Jewel of the Scottish Isles for no reason. See the mystical fairy pools, magnificent Dunvegan Castle, and the impressive Kilted Rock.

During the tour we can also incorporate a visit to the Talisker Distillery, Skye’s most famous distillery, where you can sample their wares.

You’ll drive through some stunning scenery over the 2 days spent touring the island, sampling both the Black and Red Cuillins as well as stunning rock formations, tranquil lochs and rivers, mouth-watering culinary delights and historical architecture.

After immersing yourself in all the things the Isle of Skye has to offer it’s time to head back to the mainland where you will be able to investigate Inverness, trying to spot the Loch Ness monster on the way, then heading southwards through Aviemore, Scotland’s skiing capital, before finally spending a night in the quintessential highland town of Pitlochry, famous for its salmon ladder and festival theatre.

The final leg of the journey includes an option to stop at the decadent Highland Chocolatier, a short stroll through an area of outstanding beauty to the Hermitage at Dunkeld and the opportunity to walk amongst Kings and Queens at Dunfermline Abbey.

Throughout the tour you will have your own, private minibus and guide at your disposal. Our tour guides will make sure that you to take away many happy memories of your trip to the Scottish Highlands and, in particular, the Isle of Skye. Your tour will remain a very fond memory for many years to come.
