Private Tour Prices: Scotland Day Tours, Shore Excursions and Multi-Day Tours
Tour Guide Scotland offers private tours across Scotland, including St Andrews, the East Neuk of Fife, Anstruther, and Isle of May puffin-watching trips, tailored for cruise ship passengers and independent travellers alike. We also offer multi-day tours for those wanting to explore further afield. Below you'll find a clear breakdown of prices for each tour, so you can plan your visit with confidence. Every tour is led personally, with no large groups and no fixed scripts, just a knowledgeable guide showing you the real Scotland.
Scotland Tour Prices
We believe in being upfront about cost, so unlike many private tour operators, we don't hide our rates behind a quote request. Below you'll find our fixed prices for day tours, multi-day tours and shore excursions, along with what's included and what typically affects the overall cost of your trip.
Private Day Tour Pricing
Private day tours are £695 per day, typically covering up to 8 hours on the road. This is a flat rate for your private group, whether that's two people or up to 7, not a per-person charge, so a larger group works out better value than booking individually.
Private Multi-Day Tour Pricing
Multi-day tours are £895 per day, with trips typically running from 3 to 7+ days depending on where you'd like to go, from a focused Outlander adventure to a longer road trip through the Highlands, Skye, and further afield to Orkney or the Hebrides. Each day is charged at the same daily rate, so a 5-day tour is simply five days at £895.
What's Included in Your Tour Price
Your rate covers your private guide and vehicle for the full day, every day of your tour. There are no strangers sharing your vehicle and no fixed coach schedule; your guide plans the day around you.
What's Not Included
Admission costs for castles, distilleries and other attractions, meals along the way, and ferry tickets where a route requires one are not included in the daily rate. This keeps the price simple and lets you choose what to add based on your own interests and budget.
What Affects Your Overall Cost
The daily rate itself is fixed, but a few things will affect what your overall trip costs to plan:
Number of days
Multi-day tours are charged per day, so the length of your trip is the biggest factor in your total cost.
Attractions and admissions
Castles, distilleries and other paid attractions are optional extras, so your total will depend on how many you'd like to include.
Meals and ferries
Where a route includes a ferry crossing, or where you'd like meals arranged rather than choosing your own, these are added on top of the daily rate.
Season and availability
Rates stay the same year-round, though popular dates in peak season can fill up further in advance, so early booking is worth it if your travel window is fixed.
Cruise Passengers and Shore Excursions
Shore excursions for cruise passengers are priced the same as our standard day tours, at £695 for up to 8 hours. We pick up from Greenock, South Queensferry, Newhaven, Leith and Rosyth, with plenty of time built in to have you back at the ship before it departs.
Getting an Accurate Quote
Because group size doesn't change the daily rate, working out your cost is usually simple: multiply the daily rate by the number of days, then add any admissions, meals or ferries you'd like us to help arrange. Get in touch with your dates, interests and party size, and we'll confirm the full cost of your tour before you book.
