Welcome to Tour Guide Scotland

Come as a guest, leave as a friend.

Tour Guide Scotland has been owned and run by husband-and-wife team James and Lesley Kennedy since 2017, offering private day tours and multi-day adventures across Scotland.

James brings a lifelong background in travel and hospitality, having started out as a holiday rep in Turkey before becoming an entertainment manager at one of the largest hotel resorts in Gran Canaria. Today he specialises in multi-day tours, taking visitors all around Scotland, and as a qualified Scottish Whisky Ambassador, he's the one to ask about all things whisky. His tours weave together history, stories and a dram or two along the way.

Lesley spent 17 years as a Scottish Police Officer before turning her attention full-time to guiding. She specialises in day tours and has a particular passion for Scottish history, the stranger and lesser-known the better. A keen photographer, she loves capturing Scotland's landscapes and wildlife, with the Isle of May a firm favourite for its puffins and seabirds. She's equally at home showing visitors around Stirling Castle, St Andrews, or any scenic corner of the country.

Together, James and Lesley have welcomed visitors from all around the world, and they take real pride in making sure every trip feels personal rather than like just another stop on a coach tour. "Come as a guest, leave as a friend" isn't just a saying to them, it's how every tour actually feels.
